major retailers who give perks for donating your preloved wears

If you’ve been following me for awhile, you know I love a good thrift score! 90 percent of my closet is purchased second hand I have no shame in it. With so much thrifting, I’m constantly purging my closet to make room for new preloved items and I typically just donate my old preloved items back to the Goodwill; it’s like the circle of life, but did you know you can also donate these clothes to major retailers and get rewarded for it??? I know, me either!! I rounded up a few major brands that are giving back to the community and you in a major way!

DSW: If you are a member of their rewards program (its free to sign up!) when you donate a used pair of shoes you will receive 50 points. Since it takes 100 points to get a $5 reward, you’re halfway there!

Madewell: When you bring in your pre-loved denim to donate at one of their stores, you’ll $20 toward the pair of a new pair of jeans!

(top via H&M)

H&M: Offers 15 percent off a future purchase when you donate preloved clothing. And nothing is off limits here; ratty old t-shirts, items of any brand, even old socks!

& Other Stories: You can also donate clothing to H&M’s little sister and empty beauty products for a 10 percent in store discount!

(jeans vintage Levis)

Levis: They partnered with the “Give Back Box” and when you send in an old pair of jeans; or anything else, you’ll receive 20 percent off a new pair of Levis denim and the Goodwill will receive $5!

Speaking of Give Back Box, they’ve partnered with a number of major retailers to help make donating your preloved clothes super easy! My faves on the list, Ann Taylor, Amazon and Lou and Grey. These brands don’t offer any additional perk for donating but sometimes the perk is in simply donating to someone in need.

Let me know if you have donated to any of these store and how the process went!

XOXO,

Shanna
