Not quite sure when I became a denim addict; but its happened and I won’t question it. As much as I love a good pair of Gap Jeans, I gravitate more toward vintage denim in the Levis variety. There is nothing like a good pair of vintage denim; they are nicely broken in, frayed and ripped in all the right places and can be dressed up or down depending how you style them. A good pair of vintage denim should be a staple in every girls closet; so if you don’t have a pair run and get one….NOW! My go to place for vintage denim is of course the thrift store but you can score them at a large number of big box retailers as well such as RE/DONE and Urban Outfitter Renewal. You can even go right to Levi’s to purchase a good pair of vintage jeans.

If you are up for a hunt, here are a few tips for finding the right pair for you.

  1. Know your waist size and inseam. Vintage sizing is much different than modern day sizing, so knowing your waist and inseam measurements are key to a good fit.
  2. Be sure to try them on. You want to ensure a good fit before you purchase so be sure to try your jeans on before hand.
  3. Men’s Vintage Levis are more commonly found. Something that I learned not to long ago, but there are more pairs of vintage men’s Levis out there than women, so be sure to look in the men’s section. Plus if you are looking for that good ol’ hi-wasted look, men jeans are the way to go.

First of all I would like to say awesome blog! I had a quick question in which I’d
like to ask if you do not mind. I was interested to know how you center yourself and clear your thoughts prior to writing.

I have had trouble clearing my mind in getting my ideas
out there. I do enjoy writing however it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are generally lost just trying to figure
out how to begin. Any recommendations or tips?
    Thanks!

First, thank you for the compliment!

Second, I have the same issue to from time to time and for me it helps when I feel a spark coming on, jotting it down right there! I have a notes tab on my phone that is full of the beginning of blog post that need to be flushed out when the time comes. I also like to jot down ideas of post that come to mind and that is always helpful when I need to get writing!
